Martinelli cements place according to Arsenal fans

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal is reading the riot act at Elland Road against Marcelo Bielsa’s injury-ravaged Leeds United outfit, leading 3-0 as the sides head into the dressing room.

Gabriel Martinelli has once again shown that he is truly ready to stake his claim for a first-choice place in the matchday XI after the Brazilian starlet bagged a brace before Bukayo Saka added a third for Arsenal, with many now feeling as though Martinelli should be viewed – at least for the time being – as an undroppable asset under Arteta.

The Brazilian winger has now registered four goals and two assists in the Premier League in just eleven appearances this season, and there could not have been a better moment to take his chance given the issues surrounding former club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Regardless of where Aubameyang once stood among the fanbase, another young Arsenal star has now won the hearts and minds of the Gunners faithful on social media:

Aubameyang exit inevitable?

Even if Gabriel Martinelli was not in the midst of taking his chance at Arsenal, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could have already been heading toward the exit row at the Emirates after what appears to have been an escalation in his troubling situation at the north London giants.

Aubameyang was recently excluded from first-team training at Arsenal and is now training on his own as he prepares for international duty with Gabon in the upcoming African Cup of Nations, set to start in January.

This came in the wake of the former Borussia Dortmund man being stripped of the captaincy after multiple breaches of protocol/rules laid forth by Arteta and the club.

Speculation on his next port of call has already begun amid the assumption that his situation at the club has become untenable, with reports that Barcelona have already tried to offer French international winger Ousmane Dembélé in exchange for Aubameyang’s services sure to not be the only rumor linking the Gabonese icon with an exit from Arsenal in the immediate future.
