FPL bosses take note: Two Premier League Boxing day fixtures postponed

Premier League vow to continue under COVID-19 onslaught

The Premier League met earlier this week amid a flurry of COVID-19 cases in Premier League sides, which meant that just four games went ahead from a possible 10 in the last round of fixtures.

However, the governing body vowed to continue where possible, saying:

It was confirmed at a Premier League club meeting today that while recognising a number of clubs are experiencing COVID-19 outbreaks and challenges, it is the League’s collective intention to continue the current fixture schedule where safely possible.

The health and wellbeing of all concerned remains our priority and the League will continue to monitor and reflect public health guidance, always proceeding with caution.

And now, games have continued to fall.

Two more Premier League games off

Ahead of what is set to be a packed Boxing Day set of fixtures, two of those games have been called off.

First, news broke that Wolves vs Watford had been postponed after more Watford players tested positive.

Then, more cases emerged in the Leeds United squad, meaning that their clash with Liverpool has also been postponed; a major issue for FPL players up and down the country.

Who will you be relying on for points now?
