‘Conte is magic’: Tottenham star singled out for widespread praise after Palace showing‘Conte is magic’: Tottenham star singled out for widespread praise after Palace showing

Tottenham Hotspur’s fans have taken to social media in numbers on Sunday, to single one member of Antonio Conte’s squad in particular out for special praise.

Kane amongst the goals

Conte of course led his troops back into action a short time ago.

As part of the Premier League’s Boxing Day fixture list, Spurs welcomed capital rivals Crystal Palace to north London, eyeing a 4th win in five in the English top-flight.

And, when all was said and done on Sunday, the Lilywhites cruised to precisely that.

A dominant display ultimately culminated in the hosts emerging on the right side of a 3-0 scoreline, owing to goals from all of Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son.

Tottenham, in turn, have climbed up to 5th in the Premier League table, six points adrift of Arsenal in 4th, but boasting a hefty three games in hand on Mikel Arteta’s men.

‘Conte is magic’

On the back of the action coming to a close in north London this afternoon, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the Spurs faithful being in jubilant mood across social media.

Taking to Twitter, those of a Lilywhites persuasion have singled a whole host of the club’s stars, including Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier and Oliver Skipp, out for deserved praise.

One particular member of Conte’s ranks, though, has been the recipient of more widespread adulation than any other.

The player in question? Lucas Moura.

Brazilian wide-man Lucas chipped in with not only his latest goal against Palace, but also the assists for both Kane and Son’s strikes on the day.

In turn, the former PSG man has been labelled ‘a monster’, ‘unbelievable’ and nothing short of ‘incredible’ post-match, with boss Conte too hailed for his influence on Lucas’ efforts in the final third:
