Djokovic Celebrates Christmas with Street Tennis

Novak Djokovic brought tennis home for the holiday.

The world No. 1 celebrated Christmas thrilling his hometown fans hitting in the streets of Belgrade.

Serbian media outlet Blic reports Djokovic is 99 percent certain to withdraw from the ATP Cup in Sydney starting on January 1st. The nine-time Australian Open champion has been busy training in Belgrade both on the court and in the street.

The twenty-time Grand Slam champion broke the ATP record he shared with his tennis hero, Pete Sampras, by securing his seventh season as year-end No.1 in 2021.

Years ago, Sampras and rival Andre Agassi, Djokovic’s former coaching consultant, took tennis to the streets of New York City in a commercial for shared sponsor Nike.
