A fresh insight into the January transfer plans of La Liga giants FC Barcelona has, on Friday, been provided.

Torres first through the door

The subject of incomings and outgoings alike has of course proven a major topic of conversation when it comes to matters at the Camp Nou of late.

This comes as the latest instillation on the Blaugrana’s bench, club legend Xavi, sets about building a squad capable of reestablishing itself at the top of not only Spanish, but European football as a whole.

In turn, a whole host of high-profile stars, particularly in the attacking third, have been tipped to make the move to the Catalan capital during the January transfer window.

One such player, meanwhile, has already sealed such a switch, with Barcelona’s signing of Manchester City talent Ferran Torres having been confirmed earlier this week:

And now, as alluded to above, a fresh insight into the plans of those in a position of power at the Camp Nou following the turn of the year has been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, who confirm that the Blaugrana’s transfer team already have one eye pointed firmly in the direction of next season.

In turn, the January window will see Barca kick into gear their efforts to secure a number of arrivals during the more navigatable summer market.

Meetings are understood to have been scheduled with the representatives of no fewer than four players, in the form of Erling Haaland, Noussair Mazraoui, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta.

The former pair are both represented by super agent Mino Raiola, who could even sanction a January Catalunya switch for Ajax stopper Mazraoui, if Barcelona can find a new home for Sergino Dest.

Haaland, on the other hand, represents the club’s dream summer signing, with the Catalans also keen to put pre-contract agreements in place with Chelsea’s soon-to-be free agent defensive duo Christensen and Azpilicueta.
