Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has been singled out for widespread criticism, after allowing visiting Wolves to set a new Premier League benchmark during the opening 45 minutes of the clash between the sides this evening.

Wolves on top

The Red Devils are of course locked in action at present.

Amid the tense battle for a top-4 berth in the Premier League, Rangnick and co. welcomed the aforementioned Wolves to Old Trafford, eyeing a 2nd win on the bounce.

To this point in proceedings on Monday evening, however, United have done little to prove themselves worthy of as much.

Early in the 2nd-half of action, the scoreline remains locked at 0-0, with visitors Wolves having enjoyed much the better of things.

In fact, so dominant did Bruno Lage’s men prove over the course of the opening 45 minutes, that they even managed to secure for themselves a piece of Premier League history:

In turn, amid an evening to forget thus far for all associated with United, it should come as little surprise to hear of the club’s boss coming in for heavy criticism online.

Whilst, in truth, his under-performing players must take much of the blame upon themselves, Ralf Rangnick has been slated for what has been widely identified as a tactical disaster-class, with just some of the highlights from across social media showcased below:
