Luke Shaw outlines what Manchester United need to do to win games like Wolves

Manchester United downed by Wolves

Manchester United faced off with Wolves in a Premier League clash on Monday evening.

Man United headed into the game looking to continue their unbeaten start to life under Ralf Rangnick.

However, the Red Devils had previously only faced bottom-half teams in the German’s Premier League outings, with Wolves looking set to be their toughest test to date.

And, when all was said and done at Old Trafford, a Joao Moutinho strike proved enough to hand Bruno Lage and co. a 1-0 win:

Luke Shaw on how Manchester United can win games like the Wolves one

Following the game, Luke Shaw has moved to outline how Man United can improve and make sure they do not lose a game like the Wolves one again.

And, according to Shaw, to do this, Man United need to be 100 per cent committed:

“We need to bring the intensity and more motivation. Inside the dressing room, we know what we want but out on the pitch we need to give 100 per cent. To win these types of games we all need to be 100 per cent committed. It is tough and disappointing.

“It was not good enough, we really struggled, we couldn’t get hold of the ball and when we didn’t have the ball we weren’t aggressive enough. We didn’t put them under any pressure. It maybe looked like an easy game for them.

“A disappointing performance and result. We didn’t have many options on the ball and we weren’t on the front foot. They were miles better in the first half. We let them take control of the game. Maybe rhythm, intensity, aggression are lacking.”

Manchester United’s next clash is an FA Cup meeting with Aston Villa on January 10th, will they be able to get back to winning ways then?
