‘Very, very good’: Charlie Patino names the Arsenal player he looks up to

Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino has recently named the Arsenal player he looks up to.

Charlie Patino’s Arsenal stint

Charlie Patino is just one of countless promising young talents currently on Arsenal’s books.

Patino, now 18, was brought into Arsenal’s youth system from Luton back in 2015.

Patino has since racked up a number of appearances for both Arsenal’s under-23 and under-18 side.

And, at the back end of 2021, Patino would be handed his senior Arsenal debut.

The north Londoners faced off with Sunderland in the quarter-finals of the League Cup on the 21st of December.

Patino would come on for the final 10 minutes of that game, scoring his first-ever senior goal in the process:

Patino praises Martin Odegaard

Now, speaking via a livestream recently, Patino has moved to name the Arsenal player he looks up to.

The midfielder was speaking to FIFA YouTuber and streamer Nepenthez (a well-known Arsenal fan), whilst Nepenthez was streaming live on Facebook.

When doing so, Patino was full of praise for Martin Odegaard, stating that the Norwegian is a player he really looks up to:

“Odegaard is amazing in training. He’s really settled in now. He’s a player I really look up to, he’s helped me a lot. Odegaard is very, very good.”

Arsenal are now set to face off with Nottingham Forest in an FA Cup clash this weekend. With Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny having departed for the AFCON, could we see Patino handed a runout vs the Championship outfit?
