Two more members of the club’s youth setup have been afforded a place in Arsenal’s squad to face Nottingham Forest, it has been confirmed.

Forest test

Mikel Arteta’s troops will of course kick their latest FA Cup campaign into gear on Sunday evening.

After the likes of Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Manchester City booked their respective places in the competition’s 4th round over the course of the last 24 hours, the Gunners will hope to do likewise, courtesy of a trip to the City Ground.

Arsenal surrendered their FA Cup crown just shy of a year ago, in January of 2021, after slipping to a hugely disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton.

Having shone bright en route to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup this season, though, the north Londoners will no doubt be hopeful of following up with a deep run in England’s premiere club competition, too.

Biereth called up

And, as alluded to above, Arsenal’s early efforts towards precisely could well be aided, in no small part, by the talents of the club’s latest up-and-coming youth products.

Late on Friday, word was forthcoming in the media that two members of the Gunners’ U23 setup were in line for senior call-ups at the City Ground.

The players in question? Charlie Patino and Salah-Eddine Oulad M’hand.

And now, 24 hours later, the identities of two more academy talents set to take their place in the club’s matchday squad to face Forest have too been unveiled.

As per the reliable Chris Wheatley, both striker Mika Biereth and midfield dynamo Omari Hutchinson are in line to be involved on Sunday, despite having taken part in a Premier League 2 meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion just yesterday evening:
