The Manchester United contingent to have taken in the meeting between Arsenal and Nottingham Forest this evening have made crystal clear their feelings regarding midfield loanee James Garner.

Forest stint

For those not aware, Garner, 20, is currently in the midst of his 3rd successive loan spell away from Old Trafford.

The Red Devils youth product spent the 2nd-half of last season in the Championship with Nottingham Forest, with his starring displays having convinced those in a position of power at the City Ground to sanction a return this past summer.

And Garner has since gone on to play a central role for Steve Cooper’s men this time round, too, appearing in 20 of the club’s 25 league outings.

‘Bring him back’

It is the midfielder’s latest showing in particular, though, which has evidently piqued the collective attentions of supporters of his parent club.

Nottingham Forest are currently locked in action in the FA Cup, in a 3rd round showdown with Premier League heavyweights Arsenal.

As things stand late in the action at the City Ground, the scoreline remains goalless between the two sides, with underdogs Forest continuing to give as good as they get amid efforts to get the better of an under-manned Gunners outfit.

And Garner, for his part, has proven key to the Reds’ fine display thus far, shining amid an all-round performance in the middle of the park.

In fact, so impressive has the Manchester United youth product looked, that fans of the Red Devils have taken to social media in their absolute numbers on Sunday evening, to call for Garner to be recalled early from his loan, ahead of the 2nd half of the campaign:
